SAMBAsics – The basics movements of original samba. Movements are done slow paced and in progression while on the balls of the feet. The dance combines back and forward leg movements, hips side to side, and arms in circular movements. Here, the students will build core strength, have better posture, and coordination. Extremo Brasil – A dance fitness class that will not only transport you into this beautiful culture but also burn up to 600 calories in the hour you are there. Brazilian Dance Fitness is a collection of high impact routines such as Samba from Bahia, Funk (form of Brazilian Reggaeton) and Samba reggae. COMING SOON – Afro Brazilian dances influenced by the afro diaspora found in the Yoruba traditions. The movements are very high impact and wide. It extends parts of your body, helps with flexibility, and upper body strength. It includes jumps, leaps, twists, arms movements similar to punches and kicks. The amount of calories burned various on the amount of impact by student – ranging from 800 – 1000+ calories.
